The airline aims to offer more connectivity options and consolidate its position in strategic markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Three New International Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The season&#8217;s major debut will be the launch of three long-haul routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Orlando (USA): Starting October 26th, with four weekly frequencies operated by a 292-seat Airbus A330. With this launch, Iberia reaches nine direct destinations in the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recife (Brazil): Starting December 13th, three weekly frequencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fortaleza (Brazil): Starting January 19th, also with three weekly flights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Brazilian cities will be served by the Airbus A321XLR, for which Iberia was the global launch customer in 2024. These new routes are part of the Flight Plan 2030, designed to enhance connectivity in the Americas and Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/09\/record-connectivity-iberia-group-closes-summer-season-with-over-34000-operated-flights.html\">Record Connectivity: Iberia Group Closes Summer Season with Over 34,000 Operated Flights<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Record Frequencies in Latin America and North America<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The company will increase operations in several of its most relevant markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dominican Republic: The Madrid-Santo Domingo route adds up to four more frequencies, reaching two daily flights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Puerto Rico: Madrid-San Juan will offer up to 14 weekly flights, seven more than last winter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Brazil: Rio de Janeiro will have a daily flight in February, coinciding with Carnival.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chile and Peru: Santiago increases from ten to twelve frequencies, and Lima will reach 14, one more than the previous season.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In North America, the adjustments are also significant:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New York will have two daily flights throughout the winter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boston will double operations to two daily flights, operated by the A321XLR.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Washington is confirmed as a year-round route, with three weekly frequencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Latin America is part of Iberia&#8217;s DNA, which is why we continue to invest in this market. This winter we are reaching a historic record of frequencies to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, and we are strengthening destinations like Santiago de Chile, Lima, and Rio de Janeiro. In the United States, we are launching flights to Orlando and increasing frequencies to New York, Boston, and Washington, consolidating our leadership position,&#8221; said Mar\u00eda Jes\u00fas L\u00f3pez Sol\u00e1s, Iberia&#8217;s Director of Commercial, Network Development, and Alliances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Europe Also in Sight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The expansion strategy is not limited to the other side of the Atlantic. More options will also be available within the European continent:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Amsterdam will have four daily frequencies, seven more than last winter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rome will reach 44 weekly frequencies, with up to six and seven daily flights on certain days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paris will add two more weekly flights, reaching up to eleven daily on some days.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Focus on Snow Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The winter season brings back routes designed for winter sports enthusiasts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Innsbruck (Austria): From December 21st, two weekly frequencies until Easter, with free sports equipment transport included in the Optima fare and above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tromso (Norway): From December 4th to March 1st, with two weekly flights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rovaniemi (Finland): The capital of Lapland, available from December 3rd to February 28th, with flights on the A320neo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Vienna will add two weekly frequencies to facilitate visits to Christmas markets, and Geneva will have an extra flight on Saturdays, improving connections to Swiss ski resorts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Other Notable Destinations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some summer routes will extend their operation into winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dubrovnik and Zagreb (Croatia), and Funchal (Portugal) will remain operational until November and return in March.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Naples will have two daily flights throughout the week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Algiers will have a daily flight, representing three more frequencies compared to the previous winter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With this strategy, Iberia seeks not only to meet the high demand for winter travel but also to strengthen its role as a leading
