With this decision, the airline begins a new phase of cooperation with the lessor, built on a shared vision and long-term collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two aircraft will be delivered directly from the Airbus factory during the 2026\/2027 winter season, supporting the airline\u2019s transition toward a more modern and sustainable fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/09\/icelandair-launches-direct-flights-between-reykjavik-and-istanbul.html\">Icelandair Launches Direct Flights Between Reykjavik and Istanbul<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Progressive Replacement of the Boeing 757<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrival of these A321LRs is part of Icelandair\u2019s fleet renewal strategy, which continues to replace its Boeing 757s. The European model not only offers greater operational range but also significant improvements in fuel efficiency and a reduction in emissions\u2014aspects aligned with the company\u2019s environmental goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to technical performance, the A321LR stands out for featuring Airbus\u2019s award-winning Airspace cabin design. This cabin concept promises to enhance the passenger experience with greater comfort and modernity, further strengthening Icelandair\u2019s commitment to quality service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bogi Nils Bogason, CEO of the company, emphasized the importance of this move: \u201cWe are excited to welcome CALC as a new partner in the development of our fleet.
