Aer Lingus<\/strong> has unveiled its largest transatlantic flight program for the summer of 2026, featuring a new direct connection between Dublin and Raleigh-Durham International Airport <\/strong>in North Carolina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Irish airline has added ten new routes to the United States in the last four years and, in addition to bolstering established destinations, will offer its most extensive operation ever in response to increased demand and market opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Route Expansions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Key highlights include Aer Lingus adding a third daily flight from Dublin to both New York (JFK) and Boston for the summer season. These departures will be scheduled for nighttime slots in both Ireland and the U.S., making it easier for passengers to maximize their time at each destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More recent connections, such as Dublin-Nashville and Indianapolis, which launched this year, will increase from four to five weekly frequencies in 2026. Furthermore, Dublin-Orlando will become a daily service during the peak season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding flights from Shannon, the route to Boston will gain three additional operations, reaching ten per week during the peak months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dublin–Raleigh-Durham: A Direct Bridge to North Carolina<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new route to Raleigh-Durham will take off in April 2026, raising the number of North American destinations served by Aer Lingus to 26. It will operate up to five times per week onboard modern Airbus A321XLR aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will be the first time the cities of Raleigh and Durham have a direct link to Ireland, significantly enhancing North Carolina’s\u2014a state with over 11 million inhabitants\u2014connectivity to Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lynne Embleton, CEO of Aer Lingus, stated: “We are delighted to add Raleigh-Durham to our North American network. It is a vibrant region with strong ties to Ireland, which will be further strengthened by this direct service. By 2026, we will be serving 26 destinations in North America, solidifying our position as a leading option for crossing the Atlantic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
