LATAM Airlines Group<\/strong> confirmed this Monday an agreement with Embraer<\/strong> for the acquisition of up to 74 E195-E2 <\/strong>aircraft. The commitment includes 24 firm orders and 50 purchase options, with an estimated list price value of US$2.1 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deliveries will begin in the second half of 2026, initially for LATAM Airlines Brasil, with the possibility of later extending to other subsidiaries within the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boosting Expansion and Operational Flexibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This project aligns with the group’s strategy over the last four years, a period during which LATAM consolidated profitable growth and expanded its passenger route network by 24%, increasing from 129 to 160 routes since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new fleet will allow the group to strengthen its hubs, serve emerging markets, and add greater flexibility for opening new routes, which translates into more travel options for customers in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Over the past four years, the LATAM group has focused on expanding its domestic and regional network, creating the most comprehensive and seamless way to travel within South America,” said Roberto Alvo, CEO of LATAM Airlines Group. He added that the decision was based on the efficiency and versatility of the E195-E2, key factors for continuing on a trajectory of profitable growth and contributing to the economic and social development of communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
