Ezeiza International Airport<\/strong> is preparing to welcome China Eastern Airlines<\/strong>, which will launch in December the first commercial flight by a Chinese airline to Argentina. The arrival of this carrier represents a key step in strengthening ties between the two countries and facilitating the arrival of tourists from Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The flight will take 25 hours from Shanghai to Buenos Aires and 29 hours on the return leg, with a two-hour technical stopover in Auckland, New Zealand. During this stop, passengers will be able to disembark while the aircraft is refueled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the month of December are already on sale and are showing strong demand, both for the segment to New Zealand and for the full Shanghai-Buenos Aires connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparations at Ezeiza for Chinese Tourism<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aeropuertos Argentina, the airport operator, is implementing specific measures to adapt its services to the needs of Chinese tourists, aiming to ensure visitors feel welcome and safe. To this end, meetings are being held with various stakeholders within the airport community to optimize protocols and ensure efficiency at every stage of the operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit from the China Eastern Airlines Delegation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eight executives from China Eastern Airlines arrived in the country to work alongside Ezeiza’s operational areas in fine-tuning the inaugural flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation was received by the CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina, Daniel Ketchibachian, and the General Manager of Ezeiza, Sebasti\u00e1n Villar Guarino. During the welcome, Ketchibachian highlighted the airport’s strategic importance as an international connection hub for Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, Lucas Cechet, Ezeiza’s Administrator for Aeropuertos Argentina, presented the operational details and the services offered to passengers in the terminals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Safety as a Priority<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The delegation toured the facilities and held meetings with airport security agencies. In this context, the General Manager of China Eastern Airlines, Xu Haiming, stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For us, the most important thing is safety; we want guarantees that we will operate well. We have a highly experienced pilot to ensure everything goes as expected. When we arrived this morning, we could feel the energy of the entire Ezeiza team, thank you very much!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A New Air Bridge with Asia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With this operation, Argentina achieves a direct connection with China through an airline from that country for the first time in its history, reinforcing its mission of uniting cultures and opening new opportunities for tourism and international business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
