Boeing <\/strong>has started preliminary work on a new-generation, single-aisle aircraft that, according to The Wall Street Journal, could become the successor to the 737 Max<\/strong>. The initiative is in an early phase that includes internal designs and exploratory talks with engine manufacturers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contacts with Rolls-Royce and New Internal Leadership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year, the company’s CEO, Kelly Ortberg, met with executives from Rolls-Royce in the UK to discuss the possibility of developing a specific engine for the future model, as reported by sources cited in the newspaper. Furthermore, Boeing appointed a new product leader within its commercial airplanes division, who has prior experience in developing new aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
