The Lufthansa Group and Singapore Airlines <\/strong>have announced the expansion of their Joint Venture cooperation agreement with the inclusion of Brussels Airlines<\/strong>. This move strengthens a strategic alliance that has been operational for eight years and promises to offer travelers greater connectivity and more options between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Expansion with Immediate Impact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The expansion was published on October 6, 2025, and flights under this new codeshare scheme will commence on October 26, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From that date, customers will be able to book Brussels Airlines (SN) flights between Singapore and Brussels, operated by Singapore Airlines, which will facilitate connections from Belgium to Asia and vice versa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This synergy will allow passengers to enjoy a more seamless experience and an expanded network, with more agile and coordinated connections between both airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Felipe Bonifatti, Vice President of Lufthansa Group for Asia-Pacific and Joint Ventures East, highlighted the significance of this integration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Asia-Pacific region is home to more Joint Ventures of the Lufthansa Group than any other part of the world. The addition of Brussels Airlines to our alliance with Singapore Airlines underscores our commitment to offering customers in APAC greater variety and seamless connectivity throughout Europe. This step is a natural evolution of our long-standing partnership with Singapore Airlines.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eight Years of Cooperation and a Broader Horizon<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Lufthansa Group-Singapore Airlines Joint Venture, established in 2017, spans seven countries and twenty-six destinations, featuring joint fares and increasingly integrated operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inclusion of Brussels Airlines not only expands the network’s reach but also extends the intermodal feeder routes, which include bus and train services to the major European hubs of both airlines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new operational framework is not limited to Brussels Airlines.
