The British airline easyJet <\/strong>has announced an ambitious expansion plan in Morocco, which includes the opening of a new operational base in Marrakech starting in spring 2026. This initiative is part of a long-term strategic agreement with the Moroccan National Tourist Office, enabling it to offer a record 4 million seats in its first year of operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Permanent Base and More Job Opportunities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new base, which will have three permanently assigned aircraft and operate year-round, will create around one hundred direct jobs and thousands of indirect positions. With this move, easyJet will consolidate its second-place position in the Marrakech market and strengthen its presence across Morocco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Routes and Growth in Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The growth plan includes the launch of four new routes to Morocco, bringing the total to 46 connections with the country. Starting next summer, Hamburg, Lille, and Strasbourg will be connected to Marrakech, while Geneva-Tangier will be added as an exclusive route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
