The Spanish airline Iberia<\/strong> will set a historic record in Argentina by operating 23 weekly frequencies between Madrid and Buenos Aires <\/strong>during the upcoming Northern Hemisphere summer season, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the start of its flights between Europe and this South American country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the months of June, July, and August, the airline will offer up to four flights on two days of the week, Tuesdays and Sundays, surpassing for the first time the limit of three daily operations it maintained for any destination in its long-haul network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Capacity and Technology with the Airbus A350<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alongside the frequency increase, Iberia will strengthen the route with a fleet upgrade. All flights between Madrid and Buenos Aires will be operated with the Airbus A350, the largest and most advanced aircraft in the company’s fleet. This change will allow it to respond more efficiently to the growing passenger demand on this transatlantic corridor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very proud to announce this increase in our capacity between Buenos Aires and Madrid. This has been a route that has shown rapid growth, as less than a year ago we consolidated the increase to three daily flights. Furthermore, what better way to reach this historic milestone just as we celebrate 80 years of this route, which not only allowed us to build an air bridge between Argentina and Europe but also marked the beginning of our history with Latin America,” said Marina Colunga, Commercial Director for Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new flights will depart from Madrid at 4:40 PM, arriving in Buenos Aires at midnight, offering more connection options for travelers on both sides of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Key Step within the Flight Plan 2030<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This increase is part of the Flight Plan 2030, Iberia’s corporate roadmap aimed at consolidating its leadership in Latin America and strengthening its international network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan, recently presented, involves an investment of over 6 billion euros and the growth of the long-haul fleet to approximately 70 aircraft. It also includes the opening of new destinations such as Recife, Fortaleza, Monterrey, Orlando, Toronto, and Philadelphia, as well as the expansion of existing routes, including Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this strategy, Iberia aims to enhance connectivity between Latin America and Europe and position the Madrid hub as a benchmark connection point, on par with the major aeronautical centers of Northern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
