According to official data from the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC), the country reached new all-time highs in both the total number of passengers and flight operations, consolidating a sustained trend of expansion in the sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total number of passengers passing through Argentine airports reached 4,101,159, representing a 5% increase compared to the previous record from September 2023 (3,912,618) and a 13% increase compared to the same month in 2024 (3,635,292).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International Record and Strong Domestic Recovery<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>International traffic also reached record levels, with 1,236,279 passengers. This figure is 7% higher than the previous record from September 2018 (1,151,042) and 15% higher than the figures from September 2024 (1,071,325).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the domestic segment, growth was equally solid. During the month, 2,864,880 passengers used domestic flights, equivalent to a 12% increase compared to September 2024 (2,563,967). These numbers reaffirm the expansion of air connectivity within the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flight Operations at Peak Levels<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The increase in aircraft movements was also notable. In total, 32,888 flight operations were recorded, meaning a 4% increase compared to the previous record from September 2018 (31,407) and a 14% increase compared to last year (28,738).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/09\/copa-airlines-launches-flights-to-tucuman-strengthening-its-presence-in-argentina.html\">Copa Airlines Launches Flights to Tucum\u00e1n, Strengthening Its Presence in Argentina<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Within that total, international operations reached 8,222, 1% more than in 2018 (8,137) and 14% higher than those in September 2024 (7,231).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Airports with Highest Growth in International Passengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Several airports in the country experienced significant increases in international traffic compared to September 2024:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cordoba: +52%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Salta: +47%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Buenos Aires: +45%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ezeiza: +2%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Airports with Highest Growth in Domestic Flights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Growth was also reflected in domestic operations. These were the airports with the highest year-on-year increase:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Santa Fe: +66%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Corrientes: +56%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rio Grande: +44%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Resistencia: +36%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More Passengers Flying Directly Abroad from Interior<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A notable highlight of the month was the increase in direct international connections from the country&#8217;s interior, without passing through Buenos Aires. In total, 154,279 passengers traveled abroad from other provinces, implying a 21% increase compared to September 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>International Routes with Highest Growth (Bypassing Buenos class=\"wp-block-heading\">An Expanding Air System<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sustained growth of the Argentine commercial air system reflects the impact of the Open Skies policy and the deregulation process promoted by the National Government, which have allowed for the expansion and diversification of connection offerings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These changes are consolidating a more competitive, modern, and
