Iberia<\/strong> inaugurated its new direct route between Madrid and Orlando <\/strong>this Sunday, strengthening its presence in the US market and expanding its North American network. This connection\u2014the only non-stop flight between Spain and the Theme Park Capital\u2014will operate with four weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday) and will offer over 46,000 seats during the winter season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight took off at 11:30 from Adolfo Su\u00e1rez Madrid-Barajas Airport with 272 passengers on board, bound for Orlando, where it is scheduled to land at 16:45 local time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Special Experience from Boarding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Passengers on the first flight were welcomed at Terminal 4 Satellite with a setting inspired by the destination: a large Walt Disney World arch at the boarding gate marked the start of a journey “direct to the magic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the flight, Iberia included thematic details and entertainment kits for the youngest travelers, enhancing the family experience that characterizes this destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beatriz Guill\u00e9n, Iberia’s Customer Director, highlighted the importance of this launch:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The inauguration of our direct route to Orlando represents a new step in Iberia’s growth strategy in the United States, a key market for us. With this addition, we now offer nine destinations in the country, reinforcing our position as a leading airline in connections between Spain and North America.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Tiago Santos, General Manager of Disney Destinations for Spain and Portugal, celebrated the partnership between the two companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very happy to collaborate with Iberia on this initiative, which marks a turning point in the experience for Spanish visitors traveling to Walt Disney World Resort. This flight simplifies the direct journey to the magic.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iberia Strengthens Its US Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the addition of Orlando, Iberia increases its US destinations to ten: New York, Miami, Boston, Chicago, Dallas Fort Worth, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Puerto Rico, San Francisco, and now Orlando.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
