This Wednesday, Wingo<\/strong> \u2014 the low-cost airline subsidiary of Copa Holdings \u2014 celebrated its inaugural flight between Bogot\u00e1 and Guatemala City<\/strong>, taking a significant step in its Central American expansion. With this launch, the company becomes the only low-cost carrier offering direct flights between the two capitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new operation strengthens Wingo’s presence in the region, where it already operates routes to Panama and Costa Rica, establishing itself as a key player in boosting tourism and business between Latin American countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bogot\u00e1\u2013Guatemala City route will operate with three weekly frequencies: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In total, Wingo will make over 50,000 seats per year available, aimed at both tourists interested in discovering Guatemala and business people looking to expand their commercial ties with the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are available on the airline’s website starting from USD 112 per segment, with taxes and fees included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wingo’s CEO, Eduardo Lombana, celebrated the opening of this strategic connection:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are very pleased to launch this route between Bogot\u00e1 and Guatemala City, a strategic connection that boosts tourism and business between both countries. At Wingo, we continue to bet on international expansion with a low-cost proposal that promotes more travel within Latin America.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this new launch, Wingo now reaches 37 active routes across 20 cities in 11 countries, solidifying one of the most robust low-cost operations in Latin America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
