TAP Air Portugal <\/strong>announced the launch of a new air connection between Lisbon and Curitiba<\/strong>, the capital of Brazil’s Paran\u00e1 state, starting July 2, 2026. This addition reinforces the airline’s leading position on routes between Europe and Brazil, expanding its network to 14 destinations in the South American giant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operational Details of the New Route<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new service will include three weekly frequencies\u2014Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday\u2014using Airbus A330-200 aircraft with a capacity for 269 passengers. The itinerary will be Lisbon \u2013 Curitiba \u2013 Rio de Janeiro \u2013 Lisbon, offering direct connectivity between Europe and southern Brazil. Ticket sales will begin on November 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This direct link with Portugal from Lisbon will boost tourism, facilitate the arrival of European visitors, and expand business opportunities with Europe.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Carlos Antunes, TAP Director for the Americas, emphasized the importance of the Brazilian market for the company’s global strategy: “Brazil is a strategic market of immense relevance to our global operation. With the inauguration of the new route to Curitiba, we are expanding our presence in the country, which already features numerous connections between Brazilian capitals and European cities via Lisbon and Porto.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this expansion, TAP Air Portugal reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Brazil and Portugal.
