International Airlines Group (IAG)<\/strong> has announced a strategic partnership with Starlink <\/strong>to implement high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity across its airlines: Aer Lingus, British Airways, Iberia, LEVEL, and Vueling. The service will begin to be available on the first aircraft starting in early 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This initiative will allow passengers to enjoy, free of charge, download and upload speeds comparable to or greater than those they have at home, facilitating activities such as streaming, fast downloads, and online gaming during their flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The implementation will cover over 500 of the group’s aircraft, including short-haul flights within Europe and all long-haul routes, both transatlantic and global.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In-flight connectivity is part of IAG’s transformation program, which focuses on technological innovation. Among its key initiatives are the use of artificial intelligence to optimize engine maintenance and the launch of the IAGi investment fund, aimed at supporting high-potential startups and growth-stage companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luis Gallego, CEO of IAG, emphasized the importance of staying connected during flights: “Staying connected in the sky is increasingly important for our airline customers. The introduction of Starlink’s high-speed Wi-Fi will transform onboard connectivity, improving both the speed and reliability of the connection for passengers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gallego also highlighted the group’s collaborative approach: “Customers across all IAG airlines will be able to benefit from the service starting next year. This demonstrates how IAG works together to drive innovation and secure relevant deals that benefit all of our stakeholders.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
