Boeing<\/strong> officially introduced its innovative Virtual Airplane Procedures Trainer (VAPT) <\/strong>system during the European Aviation Training Summit. This tool, developed in collaboration with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Flight Simulator, aims to transform how pilots and training teams access more immersive, flexible, and personalized training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Technology Serving Operational Readiness<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The VAPT is the first component of the new Virtual Airplane suite. Its primary objective is to provide training teams with tools that simulate the cockpit experience with high fidelity, optimizing familiarization time with simulators and improving preparation before using physical training devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3D Simulations on Lightweight Devices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Pilots will be able to practice procedures in three-dimensional environments using portable devices, enabling standardized training and reducing adaptation times. This functionality is designed to elevate the level of preparation before interacting with traditional simulators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intuitive Authoring Tool<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Training operators have access to a configurable content management platform, allowing them to autonomously create, adapt, and distribute lessons. Thanks to this tool, airlines can implement or modify procedures immediately for their pilot groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Raymond, CEO of Boeing Global Services, highlighted the impact of this solution: “We are very excited about the launch of Virtual Airplane. Availability and Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Virtual Airplane platform is now available for computers and iPad devices, initially for the Boeing 737 MAX. The inclusion of other Boeing family models is expected soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
