The inaugural flight landed on Saturday at 11:20 a.m. (local time) at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The arrival of the first flight was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local authorities, media representatives, tourism sector stakeholders, and airline executives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Schedule and Frequencies for the New Service<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the 2025-2026 winter season, ITA Airways will operate two weekly flights on this route:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From Mauritius: <\/strong>Departures on Mondays and Saturdays at 22:10, arriving at Rome Fiumicino at 06:40 the next day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From Italy: <\/strong>Departures on Fridays and Sundays at 22:00, arriving in Mauritius at 11:20 the next day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the Rome Fiumicino hub, passengers will be able to easily connect to other national and international destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Airbus A330-900neo: Comfort and Cutting-Edge Technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The inaugural flight was operated with the Airbus A330-900neo, equipped with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>30 Business Class seats convertible into flat beds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>24 Premium Economy seats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>237 Economy seats, including 36 in Comfort Economy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The cabin features elegant interiors, refined lighting, advanced entertainment systems, and full Wi-Fi connectivity, ensuring a superior travel experience. The overnight schedule promotes a more relaxed journey, ideal for families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ITA Airways&#8217; Global Winter Expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the addition of Mauritius, ITA Airways will reach 53 destinations in its winter network: 16 domestic, 21 international, and 16 intercontinental across America, Africa, and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other highlights of the program include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Resumption of Rome-Mal\u00e9 (Maldives) service from December 19th with daily frequencies until January 6th, then three weekly flights (four in February) until Easter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increased flights to Bangkok: seven per week starting December 8th.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Reinforcement of the Buenos Aires route: ten weekly frequencies between December 16th and January 9th.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>With this new route, ITA Airways reaffirms
