Abra Group<\/strong> \u2014comprised of Avianca, Gol, and a strategic investment in Wamos Air\u2014 announced a preliminary agreement to incorporate SKY Airline<\/strong>, the Chile-based carrier, into its structure. This alliance aims to expand connectivity in Latin America and bring the countries where SKY operates closer to the rest of the region and the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Abra covers 140 destinations in more than 25 countries, with a fleet of 300 aircraft, nearly 30,000 employees, and more than 70 million passengers transported per year. The incorporation of SKY Airline represents an opportunity to further consolidate this network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agreement Conditions and Regulatory Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The agreement is subject to approval by competition authorities, the completion of definitive documentation, and the fulfillment of other preceding conditions. While this process is completed, both parties will maintain full operational independence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means SKY will retain its internal and external processes, its sales channels, and its customer service operations, without alterations. The SKY brand, culture, and talent will also be maintained, following the model applied with Avianca, Gol, and Wamos Air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shared Vision and Benefits for Passengers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Adrian Neuhauser, CEO of Abra Group, highlighted that SKY shares the purpose of democratizing access to air transport. “We want more people in Latin America to be able to fly, and to do so reliably, with the best connection network, friendly service, and a competitive offering,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Holger Paulmann, Chairman of SKY Airline, welcomed the announcement: “This is great news for our company and for our passengers. Once the preliminary agreement presented today to the respective free competition authorities is finalized, SKY will become part of a group that currently operates with a combined fleet of more than 300 aircraft and connects more than 140 destinations in over 25 countries. This will mean more routes, more opportunities, and more travel options for our passengers, without losing our essence.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ownership Structure and Operational Continuity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Upon closing of the transaction, ownership of SKY will be consolidated under Abra Group. The current majority shareholders of the Chilean airline will receive a percentage of the Group. Holger Paulmann will continue as Chairman of the SKY board, ensuring continuity of the company’s leadership and strategic vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incorporation of SKY Airline into Abra Group represents a key move in the evolution of Latin American air transport.
