Located near Barajas Airport, the centre is already operational and features two full-motion flight simulators and a fully-equipped training cabin. By 2026, two additional full-motion simulators and two fixed-base simulators will be added, bringing the total to six advanced simulation devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new complex will enable the training of pilots, cabin crew, and engineers, creating 150 highly skilled jobs and consolidating Madrid&#8217;s position as the most advanced aeronautical training hub in Southern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Madrid, Epicentre of Ryanair&#8217;s Aeronautical Innovation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The opening of the centre adds to other key Ryanair investments in Spain, such as the two maintenance centres in Madrid and Seville, and the Ryanair Travel Labs digital centre, located in the heart of the capital. The latter, spanning 4,500 m\u00b2, employs over 360 technology professionals and has seen an investment of \u20ac115 million since its creation in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/10\/ryanair-announces-record-winter-schedule-in-amman-jordan.html\">Ryanair Announces Record Winter Schedule in Amman (Jordan)<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Ryanair operates a modern maintenance hangar in Madrid with seven bays, considered one of the most advanced in Europe. This facility represents a further \u20ac25 million investment and has created 130 new jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Economic and Operational Impact in Spain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With over 100 aircraft based at 11 Spanish airports, Ryanair has invested a total of \u20ac11 billion in the country, creating more than 10,000 direct jobs. The airline currently carries 62 million passengers per year in Spain, operating from 23 airports and maintaining 11 operational bases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a KPMG study, Ryanair&#8217;s contribution to the Spanish economy amounts to \u20ac28 billion, equivalent to 2% of the national GDP. This impact makes the company one of the main drivers of tourism and economic growth in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair DAC, highlighted during the inauguration: &#8220;As Europe&#8217;s and Spain&#8217;s No.1 airline, we are pleased to inaugurate the first B737 &#8216;Gamechanger&#8217; Crew Training Centre in Madrid, Ryanair&#8217;s first investment in high-tech simulators in Southern Europe. This \u20ac130 million facility will create over 150 highly skilled jobs and demonstrates Ryanair&#8217;s continuing commitment to Madrid and to the Spanish tourism industry.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After 19 years of operations in the capital, Ryanair has carried over 100 million passengers from Barajas Airport, operates 60 routes with 14 based aircraft, and
