Wingo<\/strong> announced a reduction of up to 20% in the price of its Basic Fare for the Bogot\u00e1-Caracas <\/strong>route, effective from November 14, 2025. This adjustment responds to an evolution in its pricing model, which previously included a 23 kg checked bag by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the new scheme, passengers will be able to access a more economical base fare and customize their travel experience according to their needs. A 23 kg checked bag can be added starting from USD 20 per item and per segment, either at the time of ticket purchase or later through the airline’s official channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jorge Jim\u00e9nez, Commercial Vice President of Wingo, explained that this update responds to preferences expressed by users looking to connect with Venezuela at a lower cost. “Starting November 14, our Basic Fare on the Bogot\u00e1-Caracas route will be up to 20% more economical. Those who prefer to travel light will have a more competitive option; those who require additional baggage will be able to configure it to their needs,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does the new Basic Fare include?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Basic Fare includes one personal item — a backpack or purse — with maximum dimensions of 40 x 35 x 25 cm, which must be placed under the seat. Passengers wishing to add checked baggage can do so starting from USD 20 per unit, per segment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to note that travelers who purchased tickets to or from Caracas before November 14 will retain the originally agreed conditions, including the 23 kg checked bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This fare adjustment reinforces Wingo’s strategy of offering more accessible and flexible options, tailored to the actual needs of its passengers on the Bogot\u00e1-Caracas route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
