Exactly one year ago, Iberia <\/strong>became the world’s first airline to operate the Airbus A321XLR<\/strong>, marking a turning point in transatlantic connectivity. On November 14, 2024, this aircraft model completed its first long-haul flight between Madrid and Boston, ushering in a new era characterized by greater efficiency, operational flexibility, and route expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efficiency and Comfort in a Single Aisle<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The A321XLR has proven to be one of the most efficient aircraft on the market, with fuel savings of up to 40% compared to wide-body models. This advantage allows it to cover transatlantic routes with a single-aisle aircraft, without compromising the comfort standards that define Iberia’s long-haul fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
