The month saw a 12% growth in air operations and a high flow of transit passengers, consolidating its position as a central hub for connections in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During October, 14,301 operations were recorded, representing 1,513 more movements than in the same month of 2024. The daily average was 412 operations, of which 89% corresponded to commercial flights, 7% to cargo, and the remaining 4% was distributed among general aviation, charter, technical stops, and special flights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Over 17 Million Passengers in Ten Months<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Between January and October 2025, Tocumen handled 17,304,203 passengers, an 8% increase compared to the same period the previous year. This increase equates to 1,343,493 additional travelers. In October alone, traffic reached 1,813,977 passengers, with a daily average of 58,515.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transit was the main driver of operations: 75% of the month&#8217;s passengers traveled on connecting flights, representing 1,338,098 people. The main markets for the month were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bogot\u00e1, Colombia: 101,548 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>San Jos\u00e9, Costa Rica: 76,183 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Miami, USA: 71,621 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Punta Cana, Dominican Republic: 71,261 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medell\u00edn, Colombia: 70,217 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In the cumulative annual figures, the strongest destinations between January and October were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bogot\u00e1: 887,362 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>San Jos\u00e9: 771,301 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Miami: 741,018 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medell\u00edn: 716,182 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Punta Cana: 666,411 passengers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Air Cargo Also on the Rise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Air cargo also showed positive performance. Between January and October, 202,740 metric tons were handled, representing a 15% increase (26,712 additional tons). In October, 22,708 metric tons were managed, a 10% growth compared to the same month in 2024, equivalent to 2,108 more tons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ruiz Blanco, General Manager of Tocumen International Airport, highlighted: &#8220;These results reflect the commitment of the entire Tocumen team and the trust of the airlines and passengers.
