The terminal will expand from 19,700 m\u00b2 to 24,000 m\u00b2, incorporating 7 boarding gates, 31 check-in counters, new retail spaces, two VIP lounges, and a renovated Duty Free area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">C\u00f3rdoba: An Expanding Strategic Hub<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The C\u00f3rdoba terminal has been one of the fastest-growing in the country, both in passenger numbers and the addition of new airlines and flight frequencies. Between January and October 2025, the airport handled 2,621,415 passengers (1,869,970 on domestic flights and 751,445 on international flights), representing a 12.06% increase compared to the same period in 2024. For the entire year of 2024, a total of 2,865,012 passengers were recorded (2,249,324 domestic and 615,688 international).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Authorities and Public-Private Commitment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement was made at the provincial government headquarters with the presence of Governor Mart\u00edn Llaryora; the CEO of Aeropuertos Argentina, Daniel Ketchibachian; the General Manager of the East Business Unit, Estanislao Aleman; the President of the C\u00f3rdoba Tourism Agency, Dar\u00edo Capitani; and the Mayor of C\u00f3rdoba, Daniel Passerini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Llaryora emphasized: &#8220;This is about committing to the development and growth of the country and the people of C\u00f3rdoba. It positions us as one of the most important airports in Argentina and also in South America.&#8221; Ketchibachian, in turn, stressed that &#8220;the joint work of the public and private sectors is essential&#8221; to ensure that the sustained growth in passenger numbers is not limited by infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/11\/argentina-modernizes-complaint-system-for-air-transport-passengers.html\">Argentina Modernizes Complaint System for Air Transport Passengers<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Details: More Space, Technology, and Comfort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The work will be carried out in stages and includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expansion of 4,300 m\u00b2, reaching a total of 24,000 m\u00b2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete renovation of the building in the sterile areas of Arrivals and Departures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Doubling of the domestic boarding area: from 960 m\u00b2 to 2,600 m\u00b2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expansion of the international boarding area by 280 m\u00b2, totaling 1,800 m\u00b2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Addition of 7 new check-in counters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expansion of the main hall by 200 m\u00b2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Installation of a new BHS (Baggage Handling System).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Increase in boarding gates: from 4 to 7, including two gates for remote boarding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00edo Cuarto and Strengthening the Provincial Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the provincial strategic plan, a new runway was recently built at the R\u00edo Cuarto airport, equipped with LED lighting that improves safety standards. Furthermore, the redevelopment of the passenger terminal is planned to add services and comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Record Satisfaction and Future Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Airport Council International (ACI) ASQ surveys, overall passenger satisfaction reached record levels in 2025. This result anticipates the positive impact of the 2026-2027 modernization plan, which aims to position C\u00f3rdoba among the top 10 terminals in South America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cargo Terminal: Sustained Growth and International Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Taravella Cargo Terminal is also showing strong dynamism. In 2025, new airlines and frequencies were added:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Avianca: C\u00f3rdoba-Bogot\u00e1 cargo route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>GOL: Cargo operations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LATAM: C\u00f3rdoba-S\u00e3o Paulo flight with cargo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Air Europa: Increased frequencies from three to four weekly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>LATAM Per\u00fa: Doubled frequencies on the C\u00f3rdoba-Lima route.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Air Class: Weekly C\u00f3rdoba-Santiago de Chile operation, with 70 tons transported in October.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Copa Airlines: Third daily frequency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Through October 2025, 721,258 kilos of imports and 444,596 kilos of exports were handled, compared to 508,000 and 389,750 kilos respectively in 2024. This represents a 42% growth in imports and a 14% growth in exports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">National and International Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport is served by Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas, JetSmart, Flybondi, Copa, Latam, Gol, Air Europa, Paranair, and Avianca. It offers domestic connections with Buenos Aires, Bah\u00eda Blanca, Bariloche, Chapelco, Comodoro Rivadavia, Esquel, Calafate, Iguaz\u00fa, Jujuy, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Neuqu\u00e9n, Posadas, Rosario, Santiago del Estero, Salta, Tucum\u00e1n, San Juan, and Ushuaia. Internationally, it connects with Madrid, Rio de Janeiro, Panama City, Santiago de Chile, Lima, Punta Cana, S\u00e3o Paulo, Florian\u00f3polis, Bogot\u00e1, Asunci\u00f3n, Recife, Macei\u00f3, Porto Seguro, and Salvador de Bah\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this strategic investment, the C\u00f3rdoba International Airport is establishing itself as a modern, functional, and secure terminal, ready to support the sustained growth of air traffic.
