SAS and Aerom\u00e9xico<\/strong> will strengthen their partnership starting December 1, 2025, with a codeshare agreement that expands travel options for their passengers. The move offers a broader network and additional benefits for those flying between Mexico and the Nordic countries, while maintaining efficient operations from both sides of the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seamless Connections Between Scandinavia and Mexico<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The agreement will allow SAS customers to fly from Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Oslo to Mexico City International Airport (MEX) via major gateways in the United States and Canada, including San Francisco, Boston, Newark, Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Miami, Washington D.C., and Toronto. In turn, Aerom\u00e9xico users will gain direct access to key destinations in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paul Verhagen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of SAS, emphasized that this agreement strengthens the airline’s main hub in Copenhagen and opens the door to several cities within Mexico. He also noted that it will be possible to reach Mexico City, Guadalajara, Cancun, and numerous historical and cultural sites, expanding links to Europe, Asia, and North America. He also highlighted the importance of SAS’s reliability and punctuality in ensuring predictable journeys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practical Benefits for Travelers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The cooperation introduces conveniences such as single tickets and baggage checked through to the final destination, reducing wait times and improving the connection experience. Members of EuroBonus and Aerom\u00e9xico Rewards will be able to access reciprocal SkyTeam privileges, including earning and redeeming points, priority boarding, and access to VIP lounges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giancarlo Mulinelli, Senior Vice President of Global Sales at Aerom\u00e9xico, stated that this step brings customers closer to a wider variety of destinations while also attracting travelers from Scandinavia to Mexico’s tourism offerings. He added that the company now has codeshare agreements with 14 partner airlines, reinforcing its commitment to connecting Mexico with the rest of the world through its own routes and strategic alliances like this one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Alliance That Drives More Options and Comfort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The agreement provides more alternatives and comfort for those flying between the two continents. It also strengthens SAS’s strategy of pursuing collaborations that expand loyalty benefits and generate new opportunities for its customers, following recent agreements with Vietnam Airlines and WestJet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sales will begin on December 1, 2025, and flights will be available starting December 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
