The Ministry of Tourism and Arajet <\/strong>announced at a press conference a significant expansion of service between Santo Domingo and the New York metropolitan area. Minister David Collado and the airline\u2019s CEO, V\u00edctor Pacheco, confirmed that a third daily flight to Newark Airport will be available starting next spring, a direct response to the sustained increase in travelers between both destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision comes after observing a growing flow of passengers from the Dominican diaspora in the United States and tourists seeking an efficient route. Pacheco noted that this additional operation will strengthen the airline’s proposal of an accessible, competitive service focused on sensitive travel seasons. During the Christmas holidays, Collado and Pacheco assured that the Dominican community will have access to the most affordable prices on the market, facilitating family reunions without straining household budgets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collado emphasized that this expansion reflects the effect of agreements signed by the Dominican government to boost competition and improve connectivity. The minister underlined that there is now a national airline operating flights to six cities in the United States with highly competitive fares, a result of this regulatory framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first departs from Las Am\u00e9ricas at 6:10 a.m. and arrives in the United States at 9:30 a.m. The second takes off at 7:10 p.m. and lands at 10:30 p.m. This schedule has allowed the airline to meet high demand, although the company believes that adding a third service will be key to keeping pace with the growth observed in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third frequency, scheduled for spring, will expand the availability of departure times and reinforce Arajet’s position as a low-cost, high-value alternative for domestic and international users.
