The airline announced that the route will begin operating on May 21, 2026, with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays. This will expand travel options for passengers traveling between the Valencian Community and northern France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With this announcement, the company will increase its offerings from Valencia to seven destinations. It currently operates six: A Coru\u00f1a, Asturias, and Bilbao, along with Bordeaux, Lyon, and Florence\u2014the latter scheduled to begin operations in September 2026. The addition of Lille will bring the total number of direct connections to French cities to three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Step Forward in Growth Strategy in Spain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Volotea has been operating in Valencia since 2012 and has increased its presence there each year. The company expects to surpass 1.2 million passengers transported since its arrival and is celebrating the first anniversary of its ground handling team, which consists of around 25 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2025\/12\/volotea-connects-madrid-with-genoa-and-ancona.html\">Volotea Connects Madrid with Genoa and Ancona<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Gabriel Schmilovich, Chief Strategy Officer, this expansion reinforces the international offering and consolidates operations at a key airport within the Spanish market. He also emphasized the importance of providing new travel alternatives between Spain and France, a priority region for the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 2026, Volotea projects a record offering from Valencia with over 323,000 seats, representing a 25% increase compared to 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Announcement Coincides with Milestone for Volotea<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This route was presented at Lille Airport during the celebration of a significant milestone for the company: reaching 80 million passengers since the start of its operations. The 80 millionth passenger, Natacha Pommenof, received special recognition along with one year of free flights. Additionally, several attendees received a ticket for two people to travel on one of the routes announced this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"related-topics\">Related
