China Eastern Airlines<\/strong> took a significant step in commercial aviation by receiving and putting into operation the world’s first C919 <\/strong>simulator designed for airline use. The delivery, which took place last Friday, marks a key advance in strengthening the company’s operational support capacity for China-built aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Milestone for C919 Flight Training<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new training equipment stands out for its high-level visual effects and advanced virtual computing capabilities, features that allow for the highly faithful recreation of multiple instructional scenarios. Thanks to these characteristics, pilots gain access to a highly realistic flight experience, essential for safe and efficient operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its incorporation, an existing gap in available training systems for the C919 model within the airline environment has been filled. This advance provides fundamental support for the comprehensive upgrade of China Eastern’s training system and helps consolidate the safety foundation for the commercial operation of locally produced aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the C919’s inaugural commercial flight on May 28, 2023, China Eastern’s fleet has accumulated over 40,000 hours of safe operation. As of December, these aircraft have carried more than 2.45 million passengers, figures that reflect sustained growth and progressive market acceptance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilot Training and Operational Strengthening<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Parallel to the operational deployment, the airline has developed an intensive training program. To date, more than 160 C919 pilots have completed their training, accumulating over 10,000 flight training hours. The arrival of the simulator reinforces this process and expands internal capabilities to prepare crews under increasingly demanding standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
