Starting this week, approximately half of the European fleet already has the service active, with a plan for progressive expansion in the coming years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the company, free WiFi will be available on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All Airbus A321neo aircraft<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All Embraer 195-E2 aircraft<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A portion of the Boeing 737-800 fleet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This detail is relevant from an operational and investment standpoint, as it reflects a clear prioritization of next-generation aircraft and those with the highest utilization on intra-European routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Direct Response to a Fleet Without Individual Screens<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>KLM&#8217;s European fleet does not feature seatback in-flight entertainment systems, a decision that reduces weight, fuel consumption, and maintenance costs, but shifts the digital experience to the passenger&#8217;s personal device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this context, free WiFi is not a complementary feature, but a central element of the value proposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stephanie Putzeist, Customer Experience Manager at KLM, sums it up clearly: &#8220;We have listened carefully to what our passengers value, and free internet has been on their wish list for quite some time. With this step, we are making travel within Europe more personal and comfortable: everyone can plan their flight their own way and stay connected.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of the A321neo and Cabin Renewal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Since last August, KLM has introduced 12 new Airbus A321neo aircraft to its fleet, all dedicated exclusively to European routes. These aircraft are not only equipped with WiFi but also feature modern and more comfortable seats, reinforcing a cabin experience aligned with current standards of efficiency and comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combination of state-of-the-art aircraft + free connectivity positions the A321neo as the pillar of KLM&#8217;s European experience, both from the passenger&#8217;s
