The service, launched on Friday, February 6, 2026, marks the company&#8217;s first operation to Haikou Meilan International Airport and tangibly expands its presence in the Chinese market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A New Seasonal Route Designed for Lunar New Year Demand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The new Frankfurt\u2013Haikou connection is operated as a seasonal service, featuring two weekly frequencies until March 9, 2026. Flights depart from Frankfurt on Sundays and Thursdays, include a layover in Bangkok, and arrive in Haikou on Mondays and Fridays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to information provided by the airline, the launch responds directly to the surge in demand associated with the Lunar New Year period, one of the most significant traffic peaks in the Asian aviation calendar. The airline has been operating flights to Sanya since July 2025, and the addition of Haikou increases available capacity for both leisure and business travel between Europe and China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haikou Meilan is described as the province&#8217;s most important international hub.
