This strategy includes the launch of three new domestic routes to Medellin, Cartagena, and Barranquilla, consolidating the capital of Santander as its third most significant base of operations in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operational Schedule and New Routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wingo&#8217;s commercial offensive in northeastern Colombia aims to eliminate dependence on connections at congested hubs by offering point-to-point flights. The rollout of the new routes will proceed as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bucaramanga \u2013 Medellin:<\/strong> Operations commenced this Monday, March 16.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bucaramanga \u2013 Cartagena:<\/strong> The inaugural flight is scheduled for the upcoming March 20.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bucaramanga \u2013 Barranquilla:<\/strong> This connection will begin operations on March 24.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Strengthening the Existing Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the new destinations, the airline has increased capacity on its existing routes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bogota:<\/strong> The route to the nation&#8217;s capital now features six weekly frequencies following the addition of one new frequency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Santa Marta:<\/strong> Regular operations are maintained to this coastal destination, identified as a favorite for travelers in the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2026\/03\/wingo-and-old-parr-touch-down-at-vallenato-festival-special-operation-of-8-flights-between-bogota-and-valledupar.html\">Wingo and Old Parr Touch Down at Vallenato Festival: Special Operation of 8 Flights Between Bogot\u00e1 and Valledupar<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bucaramanga as a Regional Hub and the Leap to Aruba<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With these openings, Wingo will directly connect Bucaramanga with five domestic destinations. However, the most significant milestone for Santander&#8217;s connectivity will be the inauguration of the Bucaramanga \u2013 Aruba route on June 17. This will be the only direct international connection from Palonegro International Airport, with tickets already in the sales phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jorge Jimenez, Wingo\u2019s Vice President of Commercial and Planning, highlighted that this expansion responds to real demand, noting that in 2025 the airline transported over 80,000 passengers from Bucaramanga, with load factors exceeding 90%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Frequencies and Fares<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wingo has designed a competitive pricing scheme to incentivize the flow of both corporate and leisure travelers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Medellin Route:<\/strong> 3 weekly frequencies (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Fares starting at $105,000 per leg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cartagena Route:<\/strong> 3 weekly frequencies (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). Fares starting at $119,000 per leg.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Barranquilla Route:<\/strong> 3 weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday). Fares starting at $119,000 per leg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All fares include fees and taxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wingo&#8217;s strengthening of its Bucaramanga base not only energizes the country&#8217;s
