This marks a decisive step in reconnecting the country with global networks as Qatar Airways prepares an ambitious expansion for the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Restoring International Connectivity at Hamad International Airport<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The QCAA recently announced that international carriers are preparing to return to Qatari airspace after a temporary closure. This reopening will be carried out in phases, allowing foreign operators to resume scheduled services to and from Hamad International Airport (HIA)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the QCAA, this decision follows an exhaustive situational assessment conducted in coordination with various national entities to ensure operational efficiency. The authority emphasized that all operations will be governed by the highest international safety and security standards for both passengers and aviation personnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This announcement follows a “partial resumption of air navigation” phase initiated in early March, which focused on limited capacity for repatriation, evacuation, and cargo flights. During that critical period, Qatar Airways operated a “limited relief corridor,” with initial services launching on March 7 to key hubs such as London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Madrid, Rome, and Frankfurt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coinciding with the sector’s reopening, Qatar\u2019s flag carrier revealed an ambitious expansion plan set to take effect on June 16. The strategy, valid through September 15, aims to increase frequencies and add new routes to connect more passengers during the peak summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
