Qatar Airways<\/strong> has confirmed the expansion of its American operations with the launch of a new route linking Doha, Bogota, and Caracas<\/strong> starting July 22, 2026. This connection represents a historic milestone for regional aviation, as the company becomes the first Persian Gulf carrier to operate in Venezuela and the first to directly connect the Middle East with both South American capitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strategic Expansion in the South American Market<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The opening of these destinations responds to the commitment announced by the airline last year to strengthen global connectivity in Latin America. With the addition of Bogota and Caracas, Qatar Airways will increase its network to 15 and 16 destinations within the Americas, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The carrier’s presence in South America dates back to 2010, when it inaugurated regional operations with its first flight to S\u00e3o Paulo, Brazil. This new step consolidates its growth strategy and the reconstruction of its global network, which is projected to reach more than 160 international destinations during the summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
