Each Boeing 787-9 operation has the belly cargo capacity to transport an average of up to 15 metric tons of freight per leg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Aline Mafra, Director of Sales and Marketing at LATAM Brazil, the reactivation of this link underscores an international expansion commitment aimed at being sustainable, efficient, and aligned with actual customer demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Consolidation of the Fortaleza Hub and LATAM&#8217;s Global Network<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the addition of Miami, LATAM expands its international portfolio from the Cear\u00e1 state capital, where it already operates direct flights to Lisbon and Santiago de Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the domestic front, the airline maintains a robust network in Fortaleza, connecting to 14 national destinations: Bel\u00e9m, Bras\u00edlia, Juazeiro do Norte, Manaus, Natal, Parna\u00edba, Recife, Rio de Janeiro (Gale\u00e3o), Salvador, S\u00e3o Lu\u00eds, S\u00e3o Paulo (both Congonhas and Guarulhos), Teresina, and, starting next June, Belo Horizonte (Confins).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">International and Domestic Expansion Plans for 2026<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>LATAM is currently positioned as the airline with the highest international connectivity from Brazil, managing its own routes to over 90 global destinations, 26 of which are operated directly from the South American nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its investment strategy for 2026, the company has already inaugurated the S\u00e3o Paulo\/Guarulhos\u2013Amsterdam route and is planning the upcoming launch of operations to new international markets, including Brussels, Cape Town, Punta Cana, and Ushuaia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Domestically, the airline has maintained a steady growth rate since 2021, expanding its coverage from 44 to more than 60 airports within Brazilian territory. Over the course of 2026, LATAM has already initiated scheduled services in Uberaba and is in the preparatory stages to launch flights to Caldas Novas and Campina Grande, consolidating the highest
