Edelweiss <\/strong>has officially launched its new direct route between Zurich Airport and Glasgow<\/strong>, marking the first time the carrier has operated flights to the Scottish city. This strategic connection strengthens the airline’s footprint in the United Kingdom, complementing its existing services to Bristol, Newquay, and Edinburgh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inaugural flight was celebrated this Friday with a festive event at the Swiss terminal facilities. The traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by key industry executives, including David Nufer, Manager of Network Planning & Development at Edelweiss, and Rolf Hancock, Vice President of Aviation Development at Flughafen Z\u00fcrich AG (Zurich Airport’s operating company). They joined the flight crew to formally kick off operations for this new link to northern Great Britain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
