Christened <em>Coral Sea<\/em>, this aircraft is the seventh of a total 48-unit order destined for the Australian carrier&#8217;s fleet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Design with Purpose: Celebrating Marine Conservation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The striking paintwork spans both sides of the 44-meter-long aircraft. The model is capable of flying more than 3,000 additional kilometers compared to the Boeing 737 aircraft it replaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The carrier became the first operator of the type in the Asia-Pacific region when its initial unit, named <em>Great Ocean Road<\/em>, entered service in September 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New Routes and Next-Generation Fleet Deployment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout 2025, Qantas and its low-cost subsidiary Jetstar added 10 new routes to Queensland. The expansion included international links from Brisbane to Vanuatu, Manila (Philippines), and Palau, alongside domestic connections such as Cairns\u2013Sunshine Coast and Darwin\u2013Gold Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rollout of next-generation aircraft is progressing as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Current Operations:<\/strong> The A321XLR recently launched domestic operations between Brisbane and Perth, while Airbus A220 flights between Brisbane and Cairns commenced earlier this month.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Upcoming International Milestone:<\/strong> Qantas&#8217; first international A321XLR service is scheduled to launch this coming October, providing a direct link between Brisbane and Manila.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Qantas pilots are expected to perform the delivery flight of <em>Coral Sea<\/em> from Germany to Australia next month, marking the official integration of the group&#8217;s seventh aircraft of this type into
