Lufthansa Group<\/strong> and aerospace manufacturer Airbus<\/strong> have ratified their historic commercial relationship during the opening of the Internationale Luftfahrtausstellung (ILA) Berlin Air Show, announcing new strategic cooperation agreements. The agreement officially celebrates the 50th anniversary of a key partnership for the development of the European aviation sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Historic Milestone: 700 Aircraft on the Way<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The formal alliance between the two companies originally began in 1976 with the delivery of the first Airbus A300 model to Lufthansa. Currently, both companies are working together toward a new milestone: the delivery of the 700th aircraft for the Lufthansa Group, which is scheduled for the end of this year. According to Lars Wagner, CEO of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, this achievement represents a clear example of how both entities have driven aviation as one of the key industries for Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For his part, Carsten Spohr, CEO of Lufthansa Group, highlighted the mutual trust and special nature of this half-century relationship. The German airline consortium has received more aircraft from the Toulouse and Hamburg plants than any other airline in the world, having operated every aircraft family from the manufacturer, including the A220, A300, A320, A330, A340, A350, and A380 models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
