American Airlines<\/strong> resumed its non-stop operations between Miami International Airport and Maracaibo, Venezuela<\/strong>, this Tuesday. This service reactivation comes after a seven-year interruption, consolidating the U.S. carrier as the only airline to offer a direct connection between the capital of the state of Zulia and U.S. territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reinstatement of Maracaibo into the airline’s global destination network comes just a few months after the carrier resumed scheduled flights on April 30 to Maiquet\u00eda International Airport, the main gateway serving Caracas. However, operations to the Venezuelan capital are currently temporarily suspended due to the closure of the airport infrastructure following the strong earthquakes recently recorded in the country’s central region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scheduled service will offer one daily flight, ensuring constant connectivity for passenger traffic from Venezuela’s western region. The operation has been delegated to Envoy Air, a wholly-owned regional subsidiary of American Airlines Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
