Laser Airlines <\/strong>announced a temporary restructuring of its domestic route network as a direct response to the closure of Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar International Airport in Maiquet\u00eda. This terminal, which serves as the country’s main airport, had to suspend all commercial activities after being affected by strong earthquakes recorded in northern Venezuela.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To mitigate the impact on passenger flow and ensure the operational continuity of commercial air transport, Laser Airlines has selected El Libertador Air Base in Palo Negro<\/strong>, located in the city of Maracay, Aragua state, as its alternative contingency terminal. The relocation measure will formally take effect starting next Friday, July 17, 2026<\/strong>, allowing passengers to bypass the physical and logistical restrictions currently in place at the country’s primary airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
