The agreement, valued at approximately $1.5 billion, was officially unveiled in Dhaka during a corporate event titled &#8220;Beyond with Boeing.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transaction entails the phased delivery of 15 Boeing 737-8s and six Boeing 737-800s, all structured under lease agreements with deliveries scheduled to be completed by late 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Route Network Expansion: Connecting Asia and the Middle East<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release, the carrier specified that this fleet growth will enable it to deploy scheduled operations to a wide array of strategic international destinations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>India:<\/strong> Bengaluru and Hyderabad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sri Lanka:<\/strong> Colombo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nepal:<\/strong> Kathmandu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>China:<\/strong> Kunming, Shenzhen, and Beijing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Malaysia:<\/strong> Johor Bahru and Penang.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>East Asia:<\/strong> Key destinations in South Korea and Japan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Middle East:<\/strong> Kuwait; Bahrain; Medina and Dammam (Saudi Arabia); and Salalah (Oman).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">From Airline to Fully Integrated Aviation Group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Managing Director of US-Bangla Group and US-Bangla Airlines, highlighted the strategic scope of the agreement for the country&#8217;s commercial aviation sector:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;This investment represents far more than a fleet expansion. It reflects our long-term vision to transform US-Bangla from an airline into a fully integrated global aviation group. We are investing in aircraft, personnel, technology, training, maintenance, cargo, catering, and infrastructure to support the sustainable growth of Bangladesh&#8217;s aviation sector.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al Mamun further revealed that foreign carriers currently capture nearly 70% of total passenger traffic on Bangladesh&#8217;s international routes, underscoring a significant commercial market opportunity for domestic operators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Human Capital Development and Bilateral Relations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the event, US Charg\u00e9 d&#8217;Affaires to Bangladesh, Brent T. Christensen, described the deal as a historic milestone and called Boeing the &#8220;best business case&#8221; for the Asian nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A core pillar highlighted during the announcement was the commitment to human capital development. US-Bangla Airlines plans to send approximately 200 Bangladeshi pilots to the United States for advanced flight instruction and training, representing a major investment in professionalizing the next generation of flight crew. Christensen added that the agreement strengthens economic ties between both nations by combining American technological innovation with local entrepreneurial drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the planned integration of these 21 Boeing aircraft through 2027, infrastructure enhancements at Dhaka Airport, and the advanced training of flight and technical personnel, US-Bangla Airlines aims to solidify its
