The final text of the collective agreement will soon be submitted to a ratification vote by CUPE-represented cabin crew members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2026\/07\/westjet-expands-winter-2026-27-network-with-new-routes-to-merida-punta-cana-belize-san-jose-del-cabo-and-liberia.html\">WestJet Expands Winter 2026\/27 Network with New Routes to M\u00e9rida, Punta Cana, Belize, San Jos\u00e9 del Cabo, and Liberia<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WestJet Chief Executive Officer Alexis von Hoensbroech welcomed the breakthrough agreement and acknowledged the impact the labor dispute had on both passengers and airline personnel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;We are pleased to have reached a tentative agreement that recognizes the hard work and professionalism of our cabin crew members. We recognize that this disruption has been frustrating for our guests and WestJet team members, and we sincerely apologize. Our teams are working tirelessly to restore operations and get our passengers to their destinations as quickly as possible, and we appreciate everyone&#8217;s patience as we return to normal operations.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Next Steps Toward Full Service Restoration<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the withdrawal of both industrial action and lockout measures, WestJet\u2019s operational and logistics planning teams have initiated the recovery process to restore regular flight schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline stated that further updates regarding its
