The aircraft\u2014a Boeing 737-8 variant\u2014is the first of two jets under a lease agreement with Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) and marks the first 737 MAX family aircraft to operate in Tajik territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This milestone sits at the heart of the airline&#8217;s fleet modernization and renewal program, aimed at bolstering regional operations and expanding its international footprint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Route Network Expansion: Eyes on Europe and Asia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The extended range and improved operating economics of the Boeing 737-8 will enable Somon Air to optimize its existing short- and medium-haul services across Central Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, the operational flexibility of the new model provides the technical foundation to launch high-demand international routes planned by the carrier, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>London<\/strong> (United Kingdom)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Beijing<\/strong> and <strong>Guangzhou<\/strong> (China)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2026\/07\/faa-delegates-airworthiness-certification-for-737-max-and-787-models-back-to-boeing.html\">FAA Delegates Airworthiness Certification for 737 MAX and 787 Models Back to Boeing<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abdulkosim Valiev, CEO of Somon Air, highlighted the strategic impact of the new arrival:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Given Tajikistan&#8217;s central geographical location and the extended range capabilities of the Boeing 737-8, this fleet expansion offers Somon Air the opportunity to open new routes with improved economics, driven by the fuel efficiency of these new aircraft.
