The carrier will introduce non-stop flights to both destinations for the first time, driving a 13% increase in total seat capacity for January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unprecedented Caribbean Expansion and Regional Reinforcement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During its Business Meeting held in Buenos Aires alongside key industry partners and high-value corporate clients, Aerol\u00edneas Argentinas confirmed an expansion of its Caribbean footprint. The airline will launch two routes to destinations it has never previously served:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cartagena de Indias:<\/strong> Service commences on January 1, 2027, operating 5 weekly frequencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cura\u00e7ao:<\/strong> Flights kick off on January 2, 2027, with 4 weekly frequencies (2 non-stop and 2 via connection through Aruba).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The addition of these two routes expands the flag carrier\u2019s Caribbean footprint, complementing its established operations to Punta Cana and Canc\u00fan (both featuring up to 7 weekly frequencies) as well as Aruba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>\u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/aviacionaldia.com\/en\/2026\/06\/aerolineas-argentinas-and-sas-sign-codeshare-agreement-to-connect-south-america-and-scandinavia.html\">Aerolineas Argentinas and SAS Sign Codeshare Agreement to Connect South America and Scandinavia<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brazilian Connectivity: New Point-to-Point Route and Enhanced Coverage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of its peak-season regional connectivity framework, the carrier has added a point-to-point route connecting C\u00f3rdoba and Cabo Frio, scheduled to launch on December 26 with 2 weekly frequencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new link directly connects C\u00f3rdoba Province with the state of Rio de Janeiro. Additionally, the Brazilian coastal destination will see services from Buenos Aires and Rosario, reinforcing capacity to one of the most high-demand summer tourist spots in the South Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Increased January Operational Capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The airline&#8217;s strategic plan incorporates a substantial total capacity increase for the start of the year:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Global Seat Capacity:<\/strong> Reaching 1,508,834 seats in January, marking a 13% increase compared to the same period in 2026.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Domestic Network:<\/strong> Recording a 13% increase in capacity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regional Network:<\/strong> Experiencing the strongest growth, up 16% year-over-year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Cura\u00e7ao and Cartagena expand our Caribbean presence, while Brazil will feature a very robust offering both from Buenos Aires and key secondary cities across Argentina.
