Singapore Airlines<\/strong> has unveiled the most extensive overall transformation of its long-haul passenger product to date, backed by an investment exceeding S$2 billion (approximately US$1.56 billion). Slated to debut in the second half of 2027, the strategic rollout will introduce next-generation seating, Starlink satellite connectivity, 4K resolution displays, and a comprehensive overhaul of both in-flight and ground-handling services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was made in Singapore, with Singapore\u2019s Minister for Transport, Jeffrey Siow, attending as the guest of honour alongside the carrier\u2019s executive leadership team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fleet Modernisation and Market Research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The development of the new First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class, and Economy Class cabins is the culmination of exhaustive global market research involving more than 5,000 frequent flyers, customers, crew members, and industry specialists through focus groups, in-depth interviews, surveys, and concept trials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study identified a sharp increase in passenger demand for greater privacy, ergonomic support, versatile space for rest and productivity, and seamless connectivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on the milestone, Singapore Airlines Chief Executive Officer Goh Choon Phong stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
