This Wednesday the Civil Aeronautics asked the airlines that regularly operate international passenger flights to and from Colombia to send them the itineraries for the reactivation of these services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The airlines will have until September 12th to send the corresponding information with start dates, routes and schedules. The entity assured that once it receives the requested information, it will advance the procedure for the assignment of “sanitary slots” in international airports, that is, the time intervals it will give each company to take off and land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, it is still not clear from what moment the step will be taken, since the country is still in phase 1 of air operation, testing domestic flights. Nor is the protocol for international services firm, about which it has been said, it would be more demanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On August 27, the Ministry of Health approved the resumption of international air activity in Colombia, under the argument that at this time it is unlikely that the arrival of passengers from other countries will significantly increase the transmission of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is worth noting that several airlines, airports and local governments have said they are ready to reactivate international flights and have even insisted on the urgency of allowing them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
