After almost six months of closing operations of international commercial flights, the low cost airline Viva Air<\/strong> will be the first to fly from Colombia to another country. Thus, the first commercial flight in the new normality will be the Medellin-Cartagena-Miami route, which will operate next September 19th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As a Colombian airline that ‘does things differently’, we are very happy and proud, not only to be flying internationally again to take passengers to their favorite travel destinations, but also to be the first to do so. This is the proof of the tireless work we have done during these months and our commitment to the air inclusion of the country and the region with air transport as an essential public service,” said Felix Antero, president and CEO of Viva Air Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After this news, the airline expects to restart soon all its international routes, once the Peruvian government confirms its approval.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Not only are we the first to fly international again, but we are also the first in biosafety protocols approved and certified. We have the stamp in biosecurity ‘Check-In Certificate’ and we tested our protocols with more than 320 special repatriation flights made”, added Antelo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
