Avianca informed this Monday that it extended the dates for free relocation of passengers with tickets issued by the low-cost airline Viva Air until March 17 and will also offer protection rates to users.

Avianca said they are in the second phase of the comprehensive protection plan for those affected by the temporary suspension of operations of Viva Air on January 28.

The airline indicated that they will give “extension of the free protection date, subject to space and on a first-come, first-served basis at the airport until March 17 and protection rates per leg in domestic and international destinations where Viva Air operated until April 9”.

Avianca added that the alternative of seat relocation is free of charge, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis at the airport and only people “with tickets issued with a flight date from February 27 through March 17” will be able to receive this benefit.
