Ryanair announced Thursday the opening of a new base in Trieste (Italy) starting April 24, which will feature a new Boeing 737 8-200 aircraft and will create up to 600 jobs (including jobs for pilots, cabin crew and engineers) following an investment of $100 million.

With the new base, Ryanair will operate the largest operations in its history to/from Trieste this summer, offering the city’s citizens and visitors low fares on 16 routes, including 5 new routes to Berlin, Brindisi, Krakow, Paris and Seville.

To celebrate this new base, the airline has launched a promotion valid for 3 days with fares starting from €19.99 on sale only on ryanair.com.

“As Europe’s and Italy’s No. 1 airline, Ryanair is delighted to announce this major investment in Trieste and the FVG region with the opening of a new “Gamechanger” base starting this April,” said Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson.
