Iberia Express will debut a new route schedule for the summer season on March 30, in which it will deploy 8% more capacity (ASKs) than in 2023 and 32% more than in 2019.
The airline will strengthen its commitment to the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands while continuing to diversify its business by expanding capacity in international destinations, both holiday destinations and on its already consolidated routes in Europe.
“The Canary Islands and the Balearic Islands continue to be our main markets, but in addition, in the summer season we are recovering very attractive seasonal destinations such as Crete, Iceland and Edinburgh, growing in others such as Cairo, and strengthening our operations with European cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin and Manchester. The aim is to offer our customers the best options for traveling and enjoying their vacations,” said Isabel Rodríguez, commercial director of Iberia Express.
Throughout the summer season, which runs through October 26, Iberia Express will add 28 routes.
2 million seats with Canary Islands
This summer, the airline is increasing its operation in the Canary Islands and has scheduled more than 2 million seats with the archipelago, which is 15% more capacity than in 2023 and almost 40% more than in 2019. Iberia Express will increase its offer with all the islands to which it operates: Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote and Tenerife, highlighting especially the growth in seats of 21% on the route to Gran Canaria, the airports of Tenerife North and South where it will grow by 18% and 14% respectively, and La Palma with 13% more seats.
The airline will operate almost an air bridge with the Canary Islands: up to nine daily flights in each direction with Gran Canaria, up to 10 with Tenerife, up to three with Lanzarote, another two with Fuerteventura and up to two daily flights with La Palma.

To this offer with the Canary Islands, the company will add the routes between Oviedo-Tenerife and Vigo-Tenerife during June, July, August and September, with two weekly frequencies in the central months to favor the arrival of tourists to the islands from the northernmost area of the peninsula.
22% more seats with Balearic Islands
In the Balearic Islands, Iberia Express will offer more than 1.1 million seats, which is 22% more than in 2023 and almost 90% more than the pre-pandemic figures (2019). Specifically, it will connect Madrid with Mallorca with up to eight daily flights each way, 11% more than in summer 2023; it will add up to four daily flights with Ibiza, and will start operating with Menorca in April with two daily flights and will reach up to four frequencies in July and August, which means 23% more capacity in Ibiza and 52 in Menorca compared to last year.
Bari, Crete, Edinburgh or Reykjavik to enjoy the summer in Europe
This summer, the airline is returning to the seasonal destinations with the highest demand in previous campaigns and will increase its capacity by 56% in this segment.
As main novelties, Iberia Express will bring forward its operation with Iceland (Reykjavik) to March 20 so that its customers can enjoy this destination at Easter, which will have up to three weekly frequencies in June, July and August.
The operation with Edinburgh will also start at the end of March. The company has scheduled three weekly frequencies throughout the summer and until the end of October, tripling last year’s capacity on this route.
And in June Iberia Express will add Bari and Heraklion (Crete) to its map of destinations, in both cases, it will offer two weekly frequencies during July and August.
Among the airline’s permanent destinations, the strongest growth is in European capitals such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Dublin, Manchester and Naples.
In Amsterdam the airline will increase its capacity with seven weekly frequencies and will go from two to three daily flights from April, in Berlin it will grow by almost 20% and will operate between three and four daily flights throughout the summer season, in Dublin it will deploy 24% more seats, due to increased frequencies (up to two daily flights) and the operation with Airbus A321neo aircraft. Naples will also have up to 12 weekly frequencies, and Manchester will increase from four to five weekly frequencies during the summer season.
Cairo, Marrakech and Tel Aviv, Iberia Express’ most exotic destinations
In the summer season, Iberia Express will double its capacity to Cairo. From April it will increase its operation from three to six weekly frequencies, consolidating its presence in this destination, which it launched on October 30.
In Marrakech, it will maintain its offer of up to two daily flights and the other major novelty is the recovery of its route to Tel Aviv, starting April 1 with four weekly frequencies.
In the global of its international destinations, Iberia Express will grow 7% in seats compared to 2023, but the company has doubled its capacity in this market compared to 2019, in line with its strategy to diversify its business and take advantage of any opportunity where it can compete efficiently.
