Iberia starts ticket sales for first transatlantic routes of Airbus A321XLR

Spain’s Iberia began ticket sales Thursday (June 13) for the first two transatlantic routes it will operate with the new Airbus A321XLR, the airline shows on its website.

Iberia, which is the launch customer for the model, will debut the aircraft on November 14, 2024 on the Madrid-Boston route, which has a duration of more than 8 hours, according to the company.

Iberia records record capacity between Europe and Latin America in 2024

Two months later, on January 15, 2025, it will incorporate the model on the Madrid-Washington Dulles route, which takes more than 9 hours.

Iberia’s A321XLRs will seat 182 passengers: 14 in Business Class with lie-flat seats and 168 in Economy.

The airline expects to receive the first A321XLR after the summer.
