The Spanish airline Iberia launched this weekend its flights to four of the most popular winter destinations: Innsbruck and Salzburg in Austria, Tromso in Norway and Rovanimi in Lapland.
These four cities offer tourists multiple options such as visiting Christmas markets, snow sports such as skiing or sleigh rides, as well as watching the northern lights or enjoying the magic of Christmas by visiting Santa Claus’ hometown.
In order to travel to these four destinations, the airline has put almost 50,000 seats on sale until next March.

“We are very excited to launch these destinations, which we believe will be very well received by our customers, especially for lovers of snow sports and Christmas markets. We will start the operation this year with two weekly flights and hopefully we can repeat or even increase frequencies or duration next year, as has happened with Rovaniemi, which we inaugurated last year; this winter season we are offering more flights and for longer periods to Lapland, which represents an increase of 74% compared to last year,” said Carmen Giraud, Sales Manager Europe, OM and Asia.
Iberia will offer, until March 26, 2025, two weekly frequencies (Wednesdays and Sundays) between Madrid and Innsbruck. A total of 12,648 seats have been put on sale between the two cities.
For all those who are planning to travel to the city of Salzburg, the airline will offer direct flights with weekly flights (Wednesdays and Saturdays) from Madrid until March 29. There will be 13,320 seats connecting the two cities during these four months.
Iberia will offer 10,044 seats for travel to Tromso until March 2, with two frequencies per week, on Thursdays and Sundays.
The airline has scheduled flights to Rovaniemi until March 1, with up to 4 frequencies per week during the month of December, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays. These will be the most exciting flights in the entire Iberia network, as on board there will be letters to deliver to Santa Claus and delicious Christmas cookies. A total of 13,392 seats have been put on sale for this destination.
