Air Canada began its seasonal service between Toronto and Rio de Janeiro this Thursday. The route will operate three times per week and will remain active until the end of March 2026.
Alexandre Lefevre, Vice President of Network Planning at Air Canada, emphasized that this operation expands the airline’s global offering and facilitates new experiences for travelers. In his words, the route connects two dynamic cities and expands options for those seeking to explore the culture and landscapes of the South American country.

Flights to Rio are operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft equipped with Signature Class, Premium Economy, and Economy cabins. Aeroplan members enjoy free in-flight messaging thanks to sponsorship by Bell. Furthermore, the airline offers exclusive services at Toronto Pearson for eligible customers, such as the Signature Suite, Concierge attention, and access to the Maple Leaf Lounge for international departures.
Alexandre Monteiro, Chief Executive Officer of RIOgaleão, highlighted that this route brings Brazil and North America even closer and solidifies the airport as an entry point for leisure and business travel. He noted that the operation offers faster and simpler connections, with economic benefits for the city and the state.
